at Ansuya’s
Bellydance Studio

amie Shane of Bija Yoga will now also
lead one-hour yoga sessions at 6:15
p.m. Tuesdays at Ansuya’s Bellydance
Studio in Naples.
Ansuya co-owners Ansuya and
Jenaeni say, “With yoga being a beauti-
ful complement to Bellydance, Jamie’s
focused and compassionate style adds
further depth and expansion to the pro-
cess of unlocking the goddesses within
each student as they study the art of Bel-
lydance.”
Both uplifting, healthy practices are
enhanced by the studio’s nurturing teach-
ers, exotic décor, incense and candles.
The addition of yoga will be embellished
by field trips between Bija and Ansuya’s
facilities for students of both facilities.

Paddle on Estero
River via Sierra Club
T
he Sierra Club’s Calusa Group is
providing two group paddling op-
portunities to explore and view the lush,
tropical vegetation and wildlife, includ-
ing turtles, otters and exotic birds, in the
northwestern portion of the Estero River
on February 20 and March 20, both be-
ginning at 10:30 a.m..
The guided trips, for a maximum of
11 boats and lasting up to two hours,
based on ability and interest, will begin
and end at the Happehatchee Center
in Estero. Participants will travel west,
toward the Gulf coast, and glide by the
Koreshan State Historic Site, where a
religious utopian community thrived
during the turn of the 20th century, and
then decide when to turn around. Canoes
or kayaks can be rented at $5/hour, or
paddlers can bring their own.
