he Anahata Holistic Healing & Spiritual Center,
a new mystical destination that combines a retail
store and healing center, has opened its doors for
the first time this month at 945 Central Avenue, in
Naples.
Owned by Susanna Tocco, the New Age em-
porium and qigong center provides therapeutic
massages, nutritional products, herbs, stones and
crystals, books, ceremonies, artwork, tai chi and
many other features and services.
Tocco plans future special events such as work-
shops, study groups and movie presentations.

Public Can Now Experience
Florida Yoga Institute
T
he Florida Yoga Institute (FYI) in Estero, the first area orga-
nization of its kind to develop a 300-hour teacher training
program, will begin offering daily yoga classes, meditation
workshops and many other wellness services for the public on
February 8.
Nearly 50 yoga teachers have been trained and certified
at the institute during the last three years. This rich experience
and others have led Director Francesca Vanegas to develop a

new textbook that will be utilized in this new expansion of its
operations.
“The research and writing journey has deepened my understanding and respect
for the practice of yoga, whose true purpose is to free us from our inner conflicts and
help us recover the pure joy within, that is not dependent on any external circum-
stances,” she says.
Core teachers will be FYI teacher training graduates Suzy Goldberg, of Cape
Coral; Raquel Torres and Madeline Ebelini, of Fort Myers; and Sondra Mitchell, of
Estero, who is also an FYI faculty member.
