Oftentimes, a bartender is busy doing his job and serving
drinks when you really want to get to know him better. Al-
though, Ray is known for his quick wit and ability to make the
customers smile and laugh with his personable service, The
Rage Monthly wanted to delve just a wee-bit deeper into what
makes him tick. Maybe, there is one fast fact you can utilize on a
Friday or Saturday night to strike up the conversation when it’s
“standing room only” at The SRO Lounge.
Rage: What is your favorite sound?
Ray Diaz: The sound of the ocean.
Rage: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
RD: Perfect happiness would be for an angel to fly
down and pay off my student loans.
Rage: What is your greatest fear?
RD: I don’t think about fears, so I couldn’t tell you
until it happens.
Rage: What is your greatest extravagance?
RD: Spending time with friends and family.
Rage: What is your current state of mind?
RD: I am trying to find myself as an artist.
Rage: If you could spend a day with anyone famous in the
world, who would it be and why?
RD: Lucille Ball, she kills me. Ray Diaz
Rage: At what times do you lie?

RD: I try not to, if so no specific time, so I guess any
time.
Rage: What do you like most about your appearance?
RD: I try to dress trendy.
Rage: Which living person do you most admire?
RD: My mother for raising four of us on her own. Trust
me we didn’t make it easy on her.
Rage: What do you enjoy most about being a bartender?
RD: I love interacting with people.
Rage: What is the quality that you most like in a man?
RD: Confidence.
Rage: What is your most treasured possession?
RD: My personal paintings.
Rage: What is your most marked characteristic?
RD: I am always smiling.
Rage: What is your motto?
RD: My mom said, “If you are nice to them they will
take you home.” (haha)
