The morays that have been broken are ones of trust. People are wary of privacy and safety violations due to others’ bad judgement. These selfish users are the ones causing the more egregious incidents that are forcing strict regulations on the masses. This needs to stop. The way forward is clear and hopefully the industry can agree upon a process to clear up the confusion: Industry groups need to work with the FAA to streamline rules and regulations, and do so much quicker. Drone operators need to stop hiding behind unregistered products to avoid legal issues when they are responsible for creating them. Nothing gets the general public angrier than unrepentant individuals who cause harm to innocent people and lack remorse.
