Innovative Technology expands board

nnovative Technology has announced two new appointments to the Board; John Robinson


Development Director and Dr Matthew Strong Technology Director. Former Development Director Peter Dunlop will now take on the role of Group Technical Director. Group MD Aidan Towey said of the changes: “John and Matt have been promoted to the board to support our expanding product range. ITL has experienced a period of rapid growth and expansion within the last few years. We are committed to creating innovative products throughout our entire product range, creating the cash handling equipment that our customers want and need. John and Matt have both worked for ITL for a number of years and have each held numerous roles within the company. As Development Director John will have a guiding role in all new product development and ensure the highest quality standards are met. Matt will be responsible for maintaining ITL’s position at the forefront of currency validation technology, developing technologies of the future. Peter will take a more strategic role in the organisation, working with subsidiary companies to focus future product development to ensure we maintain our market leading position.”

Merkur signs PSA with CPI M


erkur Gaming and its production company adp Gauselmann GmbH have signed a preferred supplier agreement with Crane Payment


Innovations (CPI). Under the three-year agreement, Merkur has chosen the SC Advance as its global default note acceptor. “As an innovator and manufacturer of the highest quality gaming entertainment products, we know how important it is to choose suppliers of the same distinction,” said Athanasios ‘Sakis’ Isaakidis, senior director of international sales at Merkur. “That is why we have such a long history with CPI – and why the decision to strengthen our relationship through a preferred supplier agreement came so easily. Merkur is in what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and challenging


phases of its existence. We are expanding rapidly and wanted a partner that has already proven itself invaluable to our success.” Elsewhere, Olympic Entertainment Group has extended its preferred supplier agreement with CPI. Olympic operates almost 120 casinos in eight countries, and the group will continue to specify CPI aceptors in all new and existing games for a further three years. “Our customers associate the Olympic name with quality and excellence, so it is only natural that we should continue to specify the SC Advance” said Piret Barlo, purchasing manager for the Olympic Entertainment Group. “The product aligns perfectly with our value proposition and has proven its worth throughout the years by helping us to grow our business.”


NCF UK dealer championship success F


ebruary saw the National Casino Forum host the 2016 UK Dealer Championship at the Aspers Casino, Westfield Stratford City, London.


The event featured a series of tasks to find the UK Champion and included the best dealers from the biggest Casino operators in the UK including Aspers group, Genting, the Hippodrome and the Ritz. The championship concluded with the announcement of the winners in the casino’s Sky Bar and Aspers Group Operations Director Richard Smith presented the prizes. The Championship judges oversaw three main categories: technical skill, game control and hospitality to establish the best individual in the dealing business, who will then go on to the European Dealer Championships 2016 which will take place at the beautiful Holland Casino Breda,


Netherlands on 11 and 12 May. All participants are invited on the 10 May for a welcome drink where the lottery draw for the first round groups will take place. The prizegiving ceremony and celebration party on 12 May is at the casino. The winners were: • UKDC 2016 Winner: Clayton Bourne – The Clermont
