COLOMBIA – Coljuegos anuncia nuevo cronograma para slots


Coljuegos, la empresa estatal reguladora de los juegos de azar en Colombia anunció cambios en el cronograma de Conexión y Reporte en Línea, que se iniciara en 2015, para tener un mejor conocimiento del mercado real de los juegos de suerte y azar localizados en el país,


Coljuegos ha reportado que con fecha de corte al 23 de


febrero 2016, operan en el país 83.298 máquinas electrónicas tragamonedas, en más de 2.669 establecimientos autorizados por la empresa estatal. Las fechas de los nuevos cortes ahora corresponden: 60% al 02 de mayo del 2016; y el 100% al 02 de noviembre del 2016.


En el periodo 2012 y 2015, el inventario de Máquinas


Electrónicas Tragamonedas (MET) incrementó el 28%, mientras que se dio una disminución de locales del 3.6%. En lo que corresponde a la transferencia de tasas recibidas a


favor del sector Salud por concepto de la operación de juegos localizados, se lograron un 62,09% del total de las transferencias del 2.015.

The main objective of the legislative project is to regulate the gaming activity in Buenos Aires until the termination of the concessions granted to the operators of casinos by previous national governments. Additionally, new regulation would create a verification system in real time of the money that is played on each slot machine; limitation of new gaming operations; control of advertising in gambling as a consumer product; and prohibition of ATMs within the gambling houses. Finally, the new law would also make provisions for programmes of prevention and comprehensive treatment of compulsive gamblers including a voluntary exclusion registry.


La implementación del sistema de conexión en línea permite actualizar la forma de cálculo de los Derechos de Explotación (recursos para la salud pública). La base de cobro actual hace referencia a un valor fijo por máquina tragamonedas que no reconoce la verdadera dinámica del mercado. Una vez conectadas en línea, la regulación establece que las máquinas tragamonedas pagarán el mayor valor que resulte entre el 12% de los ingresos brutos de las MET (Win) y la tarifa fija que por ley vienen pagando hasta ahora.


PANAMA – Juegos de Azar baja en 13,5% en enero


El Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo de la Contraloría


General de la República informó que la producción de bienes y servicios en la economía panameña, medida a través del PIB, presentó en el 2015 un crecimiento de 5,8 por ciento, con relación al año anterior.


En el informe correspondiente a Apuestas, la Contraloría


reportó que el total de las apuestas brutas, que incluye premios pagados de los operadores de juegos de suerte y azar registró una variación negativa de 13.5% en enero del 2016 en

COLOMBIA - Coljuegos announces new dates for Online Slots Controls


Coljuegos, Colombia’s State-owned regulatory company has announced changes in the schedule of Slot Machines Online Connection and Reports, which began in 2015 with the objective to gain a better understanding in real gambling machines referred to as MET in the country.


Following the schedule for online slots connection, Coljuegos has reported that effective at the cut-off date of 23 of February 2016, there were 83,298 electronic slot machines operating in 2,669 establishments authorised by the State- owned company. The new cut-off dates approved by the regulators have been set as follows: for 60% of the total of operating METs in an operation, 02 May 2016; and for 100% of METs, 02 November 2016.


Furthermore, Coljuegos reported that in the period 2012-


2015, the METs inventory increased by 28%, while there was a reduction in operation premises of 3.6%. On the matter of receipts of tax revenue collected from slots to be transferred to the Health sector, as per legislation, a total of 62.09% of all
