Industry Update TKC launches
Lucente Anthracite With the growing trend for darker neutrals steadily on the increase, TKC has added Anthracite to its popular Lucente collection of high gloss handleless doors. The new shade has been introduced in line with growing demand for the anthracite colourway across a number of TKC’s kitchen ranges, with the company predicting that the hue is set to become a top seller across the forthcoming 12 months. Lucente Anthracite High Gloss is a sleek, contemporary and ultra stylish range that provides the ultimate high-end kitchen solution. Designed to enable a bespoke look to be achieved, its smooth and clean lines can be softened through the addition of internal and external curves, whilst handleless doors featuring J-shaped grooves complement its simplicity. It is available from stock in a vast array of standard door sizes and with a wide variety of accessories, and bespoke door sizes are also available to order, offering customers even greater freedom of design.
TKC’s Design Manager, Jitendra Mistry, comments, “Whilst soft neutrals remain very much in vogue, we are witnessing increasing demand for deeper neutral colours, such as dark grey, olive and anthracite. We added anthracite to our Imola and Moda kitchen ranges earlier this year and it has quickly moved up the ranks to become one of our most popular colours, so it seemed a natural choice to introduce it to our best-selling Lucente High Gloss collection.”
TKC’s Lucente High Gloss collection also features White, Cream, Light Grey, Pavilion, Stone and Black options.

Record year for finance sales in the KBB Sector for CCS
Consumer Credit Solutions (CCS) has reported record finance sales in the home improvement sector for the sixth consecutive year. The business paid out almost £250million in 2015 — the highest amount in its 16 year history and an almost 20% increase on 2014.
Despite reports of a slight downturn in the home improvement market over the last 12 months, there is no indication that sales on finance are slowing down and there is clear evidence that companies promoting credit are outperforming their competitors.
Managing Partner Andy Wallace said: “Business is traditionally quiet in the run up to Christmas however last December was extremely buoyant and exceeded expectations. There’s also been an extremely positive start of 2016. January has been exceptional, and the best month ever in our trading history. Many of our key retailers are also reporting a great start to the year, and that the use of promotional finance is continuing to provide them with a significant increase in both leads and sales.”
