Cloakrooms & Ensuites
Wall Hung is the Perfect Solution for Small Spaces
C
Comment by Mark Larden Managing Director, Geberit
loakrooms are now being seen in more homes than ever before, driven not least by the fact that adding one to an existing property requires minimal outlay in terms of building and renovating costs yet can have a very positive effect on its value. The cloakroom covers a small footprint, however this in no way means it should compromise on style and comfort. Indeed, this is a room that is often seen by guests making it a space that consumers are looking to show off. In response, manufacturers have turned their focus towards offering the best ways of installing sanitaryware into such add-on spaces and to introducing products that ensure the cloakroom is as luxurious as the master ensuite. The benefits of wall-hung sanitaryware, for example, lend themselves to the cloakroom environment, where creating a sense of space and making cleaning as simple as possible is key. While retailers can use these as valid selling points to the end user, they can also offer
installers peace of mind that fitting the framing systems behind the wall won’t be a problem, even in a tight space such as the cloakroom. There is also huge potential in this market for retailers to up-sell from a standard WC to a shower toilet. With compact, wall-hung models available a shower toilet is a guaranteed way of creating the sense of comfort and luxury in the cloakroom that consumers desire.
