Garuda to fly non-s Heathrow to Jakart

Garuda Indonesia will switch from Gatwick to Heathrow and operate a non-stop service to Jakarta from April 1.
The airline currently flies three
times a week from Gatwick to the Indonesian capital via Amsterdam, but will fly direct from Heathrow using a 300-seat Boeing 777 five times a week. Tickets are due to go on sale
from the third week of this month. The return flight to London
will initially fly via Singapore, but Garuda aims to operate a non-stop service by the end of the year. Garuda resumed flights from
London in September 2014, more than a year after announcing the start of the service, having ended operations from the UK in 2004. The carrier’s UK and Ireland
general manager, Jubi Prasetyo, said incentives and fam trips for agents were “likely” next year.
Glasgow gains winter flights to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic will fly year-round from Glasgow to Orlando after extending part of its summer service through next winter. The carrier will operate once
