E-procurement technology suppliers say that better and more efficient use of mobile technology will be the key trend over the next five years. Alex Walters at iTradeNetwork
says: “Today over 50% of internet connections are via mobile and 25% of electronic orders go through mobile. We need to offer the best use of this technology.”
He says his company is
continually optimising and updating its sites for mobile users, especially the key pages, to give a better experience. It is also working on developing a single handheld device with a barcode scanner that will let users walk around a fridge or warehouse, taking stock information using an offline app, before uploading
