Trafalgar praises Aldi a issues standalone Cost

Guided-tours specialist Trafalgar is to reposition its CostSaver programme as a standalone brand, having seen the huge growth experienced by value supermarket chains Aldi and Lidl.


The operator’s chief executive,


Gavin Tollman, said: “The Aldis and Lidls of this world are seeing huge growth in the UK. “Lidl grew 20% last year, while Aldi has grown its share of the supermarket sector from 3% to 5%. There is no doubt that the value proposition is the way forward in the UK.” He claimed Trafalgar’s


CostSaver programme was “the single biggest opportunity that the trade will have in 2016”, and laid down the gauntlet to agents,
