ROTANA HAS OPENED its first two properties in Istanbul, moving for the first time beyond its current portfolio in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. While the hotels are in the Maltepe district on the Asian side of the city, the group is pitching them as its first foray into the European market. Burgu Arjaan by Rotana and Tango Arjaan

n ROYAL SPLASH: Royal Caribbean has announced that its latest mega-ship, Harmony of the Seas, will include an interactive water park for small children called Splashaway Bay. The ship will also entice thrill-seekers with the Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea with a 100ft plunge. More sedate passengers can enjoy a variety of health and fitness activities. n UBER STAYS: Hilton and Uber have reached an agreement to enable guests to send push notifications or texts with a hotel’s address already entered for Uber drivers. In addition, Hilton’s HHonors loyalty members will be offered a ‘Local Scene’ service via the HHonors app, listing destinations according to the most popular Uber drop-off points. n EMIRATES TOUCHDOWN: Emirates Airlines has launched a nonstop service between Dubai and Orlando, making the city its tenth American gateway and linking two leading centers for leisure tourism.
