ASTA agents explore world-class destinations and events


WITH THE EVER-INCREASING demand from members for destination, business and regulatory education, ASTA has composed an impressive event line-up for 2016, including the all-new ASTA Showcase. Te year kicks off with the ASTA Premium


Business Summit, February 3-4 at the Belmond hotel in Charleston, SC. Tis exclusive event hosts some of the largest agencies in the industry, representing over $90bn in travel spend a year. ASTA has responded to increased demands for


more destination training. In 2016, the all-new ASTA Maui Showcase offers a unique opportunity to experience the magical Hawaiian island of Maui first-hand May 11-15. Te Showcase provides agents with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the destination and learn more about selling Hawaii. Tey’ll also have the chance to visit the other two islands that make up Maui Nui — Molokai, ‘Hawaiian by Nature’ and Lanai, ‘Hawaii’s Most Enticing Island’ (see page 18 for the full agenda).

Seville, Spain for a truly immersive destination training program at the ASTA Destination Expo. With pre/post tours, day excursions, education sessions with destination specialists, a tradeshow with local vendors and cultural receptions and evening events, attendees will return from Seville with a Seville Destination Specialist Certificate. Te ADE offers the kind of on-site, one-of-a-kind immersive learning that can make or break a sale. Finally, it’s time for the largest membership


gathering of the year at ASTA Global Convention 2016 in ‘the biggest little city in the world’, Reno Tahoe, from September 25-28 . Te AGC offers a robust program offering first-rate education, training, unparalleled networking opportunities


and inspiring speakers. In


addition to these, unique sites such as Lake Tahoe — voted the number one lake in North America — and Virginia City — a true Wild West town — make it a truly memorable visit. asta.org/event
