NH HOTEL EUROBUILDING Madrid
Hiding inside this revamped 1970s high-rise is a chic and futuristic design. This is highlighted most of all in the huge vaulted ceiling in the lobby, onto which videos and images are projected. Less relevant perhaps to your clients but still impressive is a business suite with a holographic projector.
Rooms are spacious, light, airy, clean and multifunctional, and the focus on modern aesthetics and technology continues: flatscreen televisions, Nespresso machines, LED under-bed lighting and a cleverly concealed bathroom with automatic privacy blinds. Gadget lovers can experience one of the hotel’s four futuristic ‘living lab’ projects, offering the most up-to-date technologies, including wireless chargers and bathroom projectors along with the ability to contact reception remotely via video link. The hotel’s food highlights are
the three-Michelin-starred DiverXO restaurant, Domo by Roncero and Cabrera, and the 99 Sushi Bar. The hotel only recently relaunched
following a hefty refurbishment and is now the flagship NH property, offering a glimpse of what to expect from the group’s other hotels in the near future. This summer the VIP Level service was launched. Among other things, this gives guests a private reception, early check-in and late check-out, a private breakfast area, a personal trainer and shopper, and more.
There are 64 VIP rooms available. The best is the presidential suite, spread across two floors. There are six options including my favourite, the 18 premium rooms with terrace and views. Despite its financial district location,

the hotel is also convenient for leisure guests. The city centre is 10 minutes away and Madrid Barajas airport 20 minutes. Even closer is Real Madrid’s Bernabéu stadium and a number of restaurants and boutiques. The gym is enormous and has an impressive array of up-to-date equipment, including a Technogym for synchronising at-home gym routines. For those wanting to relax there is a
spa, an open-top pool in the summer, a rooftop solarium and beach. Joining the roof action shortly will be a kitchen garden to provide fresh products to the Domo restaurant.
