‘LITTLE BLACK BOOK’ OF VILLAS
A website keen to become known as the ‘little black book’ of luxury villa rentals launched this month. Ultravilla isn’t a booking site but a directory of top rental experts and exclusive villas, private houses, lodges, chalets and apartments. The site, co-founded by Ileana von Hirsch of Five Star Greece, launches with over 30 members. She said: “This is refined directory that offers remarkable
properties from companies we trust.”

Aqua Expeditions has refurbished its two luxury Peruvian vessels, Aqua Amazon and Aria Amazon. The work was overseen by the boats’ designer, Jordi Puig, who drew on regional traditions. The Aqua Amazon’s 12 suites and the Aria Amazon’s 16 suites have been updated with new floors, furniture and amenities, and the ensuite bathrooms have been redesigned. Both vessels have also gained a fleet of all-terrain bikes for guests to use, plus 10-seat skiffs for excursions into the Amazon jungle.

IT’S HELENA OF JOY IN NZ GO OFF-ROAD IN STYLE WITH A&K’S LAND ROVER TOURS

New Zealand will gain another luxury lodge next year with the opening of Helena Bay on the Tutukaka Coast, North Island. The lodge is 25 miles north of Whangarei and guests can get there in 45 minutes by helicopter from Auckland. The lodge is set on 800 acres and will include two and three-bedroom villas, all overlooking two miles of coastline. The main lodge will house a Turkish
hammam, heated pool, spa and more.
