SPA GODDESS

SPA GODDESS

BEVERLY HILLS BODS

Got clients umming and ahhing over where to stay in LA? The Peninsula may have settled it once and for all with its new Bodyism programmes. Involving hiking across star-studded Runyon Canyon with a hunky Bodyism trainer by your side, it’s the most fun you’ll have in a tracksuit. Back at the hotel, a ‘clean and lean’ lunch follows, with pre and post-workout shakes thrown in too. Best of all, at turndown, a Serenity Shake is placed bedside to encourage a good night’s sleep. Oh, and for wealthy enough clients, the god of Bodyism, James Duigan himself, will fly

over for a one-on-one session. Only in LA… BEVERLYHILLS.PENINSULA.COM

HAIR TODAY

Following the holiday season, a visit to a hair spa is a must for all respectable spa goddesses. Philip Kingsley is the best of the bunch for its ‘prescriptive hair-healing spa treatment’ – an intensive hair ritual that helps treat stressed or damaged locks from the inside out. Performed by tricotherapists, it nurses hair back to good health. I like to think of it as a facial for

the hair and scalp. Try it and see. PHILIPKINGSLEY.CO.UK

SOMETHING IN THE WATER

IN ASSOCIATION WITH

The hotly anticipated Gainsborough Bath Spa has thrown open its doors. With a trendy Soho House-style restaurant and thermal water piped directly into guest rooms, it’s a combination of hedonism and purity. Signature treatments include a magnesium wrap to boost energy levels, promote sleep and encourage circulation, while a ‘Freedom’ treatment involves ‘being dynamically stretched into a state of relaxation typically only experienced

in the comfort of the womb’. THEGAINSBOROUGHBATHSPA.CO.UK

AS SLEEK AS CARA

TRIED

Following Cara Delevingne’s recent declaration that ‘all body hair should be lasered’, I trotted off to Destination Skin to have my underarms zapped. During the treatment a concentrated laser beam targets hair follicles, inhibiting future hair growth. I’m not going to lie, it does hurt a bit – like a hot electric pang each time the machine zaps, but the results are impressive. After six sessions (one a month), I can look forward to no more shaving, no more shadow and no more shame.

Just like Cara. DESTINATIONSKIN.COM
