REFIT FOR CHELSEA HOTEL
London hotel No.11 Cadogan Gardens has unveiled six new suites in the first phase of its renovation. The suites, designed by JSJ Design, complement the Victorian facade with dark-wood fittings and woven houndstooth fabrics paired with metallic finishes. Once the refit is completed in
November, the hotel will have 56 rooms.

SLH UNVEILS BESPOKE BICYCLE IN THE PICTURE: SILK ROAD ITINERARY, WILD FRONTIERS
Adventure tours operator Wild Frontiers has devised a 47-day trip exploring the full length of the Silk Road. The route starts in Xi’an, in China, and ends on the shores of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, taking in six countries. Highlights include Xi’an’s Terracotta Warriors, Samarkand and Istanbul’s Blue Mosque. Founder Jonny Bealby said: “This is the biggest trip that we’ve offered and provides a once- in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow in the footsteps of some of the most romantic names in world exploration.” The tour, which departs on September 12, 2016,
costs £9,500, including accommodation, most meals and guided excursions.

TRAVEL 2 ADDS DOMINICAN REPUBLIC FOR 2015-16
Travel 2 has added more than 20 properties to its 2015-16 brochure following a 20% rise in luxury long-haul bookings over the past year. Among the new hotels are Amilla Fushi in the Maldives and the Conrad Dubai. Also new are the Dominican Republic and touring in East Africa. Travel 2 is entering agents into a draw to win
one of two £100 John Lewis vouchers for every booking made by October 18.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World has teamed up with Brompton Bicycle to create a bespoke cycle for members of its loyalty scheme, The Club, to use when staying at participating hotels. The limited-edition SLH bikes are available at No.11 Cadogan Gardens in London and The Dylan Amsterdam. There are plans to extend the initiative to a selection of the group’s 520 affiliate hotels around the world. Global marketing director Tim Davis said: “As the champion of small, luxury, independent hotels, SLH is always keen to team up with like-minded independent brands such as Brompton Bicycle. Our guests are naturally curious and keen to experience the destinations in which we have hotels and these bikes are the perfect way to
offer them the means to do just that.”
