MATERIALS HANDLING & CONVEYING FEATURE SPACE-EFFICIENT FLEXIBLE PLASTIC CHAIN CONVEYORS

Applied Automation (UK) is launching a range of Swedish conveyors. Carryline’s flexible plastic chain conveyors are trusted around the world in industries including food, packaging and pharmaceutical. They can be built to meet a customer’s specific requirements and are easy to adapt, low maintenance and space-efficient. Applied Automation’s Industrial Systems division will offer a full service from design to installation of the conveyors. There are six chain widths available in aluminium or stainless steel for sectors with stringent hygiene demands. A spiral conveyor offers a space-saving solution. “I’m delighted we’ve been able to secure the deal to become the sole national agent for Carryline in the UK and Northern Ireland,” says managing director David Rowe. “Their conveyors are used for all sorts

of materials handling internationally and are an excellent addition to our portfolio. Applied is growing rapidly; our 2014/15 sales figures were £15.5 million and the Industrial Systems division saw a 35% increase. We have ambitious plans and have recently moved to a much larger factory to enable us to expand and increase capacity.”

Carryline has been manufacturing conveyors for more than 50 years. Development and production is carried out in-house to ensure quality control and short lead times. The vast product range offers a solution for moving virtually any lightweight goods horizontally and vertically. Applied
