Alicat adds colour display option to rechargeable portable mass flow meters and malibrators
Altitude Height Safety M
any professions, work environments and tasks involve activity above or even below ground
level, meaning workers are exposed to the risk of falling a distance liable to cause injury – or even death. As well as a moral obligation to ensure those workers’ safety, employers must comply with myriad legal duties with regard to work at height. Training is a crucial part of compliance, as employers must understand how to plan and manage work at height safely so that workers can carry it out without incurring harm to themselves, or causing it to others. Altitude™ Height Safety – a brand new company within the JSP Group – is dedicated to providing quality height safety and rescue training for all industry sectors. The company recently launched an initial programme of five courses covering the main elements of working at height for employers and their workers.

New BOGE guide explains how to keep compressed air supply clean and pure
B
OGE Compressors has released a new guide that explains how to ensure compressed air supply is kept clean, pure and free of contaminants. With so many potential contaminants placing the purity of compressed air and quality of manufactured products at risk, this new guide is an essential tool for compressed air system operators. The free guide outlines in depth the variety of threats that impact on compressed air systems. These threats include airborne particles such as dust and pollen, water vapour, which naturally occurs in air, and compressor oil that is emitted as an oil vapour. It also discusses the consequences of ignoring or failing to deal with potential contaminants, such as the contamination of end products. This creates health risks and can result in reduced productivity and profitability when product batches must be discarded and is especially true in the highly regulated and competitive food and beverage industry.

New Food Grade Hygienic Fitting for Flexible Conduit Systems
F
lexicon has launched a food grade hygienic fitting for flexible conduit systems protecting cables used in the food industry.
The new LPC fitting has smooth edges and no crevices where particles, dust or bacteria could accumulate.
The fitting is as round as
possible with a minimum area of flats for tightening. It can be used with LPC and LTP conduits to form a complete liquid tight, hygienic system for the food industry with an ingress protection of IP66, IP67, IP68 (two bar pressure) and IP69.
This means that cabling can be protected against cleaning processes such as high pressure jets of steam and also be immersed in water. It can also be used in most working environments within the food industry, with a working temperature range of -50oC to +135oC.
