Park News parkworld-online.com Lotte Water Park 12 WhiteWater slides complete Korean facility

Lotte Water Park in Busan, South Korea, experienced tremendous attendance numbers when it opened for its first season in 2014. Now it’s even bigger with the addition of 12 more colourful waterslides from WhiteWater including a duelling Master Blaster water coaster, a Boomerango, four interlocking AquaLoops and more. In additional to the waterslides, WhiteWater has supplied a FlowRider Double where guests can test their surfing skills. The park already boasts Korea’s largest wave pool.

The indoor-outdoor facility was built in two stages due to the multi-phased construction process necessary to accommodate its sheer scope. With the new additions, which opened on June 12, Lotte hoping to top last year’s attendance record of 18,000 guests per day, which should see it guaranteed a ranking in the world’s top 20 waterparks when the figures for 2015 are released next year by TEA/AECOM (it opened too late to gain inclusion in the 2014 list).
