Equal parts dance and theater, The Queue unfolds in a fictional airport where travelers stumble humorously, tragically, and awkwardly into the high stakes of each other’s private lives. Lucky Plush brings its signature blend of immediacy and humor to important questions, without shying away from the awkwardness and discomfort around fractured privacy, deceit, and dying.

Multi-Sensory Experience for Young People on the Autism Spectrum

“Red Kite, Brown Box” Sunday, October 4 at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm, Hoehl Studio $25 adults/$15 children

This multi-sensory adventure is designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum and their caregivers, and limited to 15 kids (with caregiver) per performance. Inspired by the book Not a Box by Antoinette Portis, Chicago Children’s Theatre offers an experience that does not insist upon sitting still and keeping quiet, but rather encourages children to move, laugh, talk, sing, and interact with the artists. Texture, sound, and light transform simple cardboard boxes into a magical world of dance parties, pillow fights, and stars.
