PWS makes senior operations’ appointments


As part of PWS’ strategy for significant growth, over the course of the next few years, the company has announced two senior appointments. Kevin Gay has been promoted to Operations Director and Andrew Buckingham to IT Manager. As Operations Director, Kevin is responsible for


all aspects of IT and logistics. With over 500 orders dispatched from PWS each day slick operations are critical to the smooth running of the business. Kevin joined PWS in 1988 and, over the years, has managed the marketing, worksurfaces and IT & logistics departments, developing a deep understanding of how the business functions across all disciplines. Andrew Buckingham steps up to the position of


IT Manager, following 9 years as Software Engineer at PWS. Andrew has extensive and valuable systems’ experience, most recently managing and developing enhancements to TradeZone, the company’s online ordering system. Comments Andrew Elenor, PWS’ Managing


Nolte takes Silver at Architects Partner


Award 2014 For the sixth year running trade magazines AIT and xia have presented companies with the APA|Architects Partner Award. Johnson Tiles unveils spectacular mirrored 3D wall of evolving colour


Johnson Tiles unveiled a spectacular reflective 3D wall of colour, transforming the entrance to the Design Factory area throughout Clerkenwell Design Week 2015. Mirrors cleverly placed behind rows of tiles


emerging from the wall produced an array of reflections, evolving shades and playful visual effects, interacting with passers-by and surrounding buildings. Verve was commissioned


specially as part of the CDW Presents series. Inspired by rows of dominoes, it was created with more than 6,000 tiles from the British-made Prismatics range, each set into hundreds of rows of protruding ‘blades’. The carefully selected colour


combinations meant visitors were greeted with a different effect depending on where they stood. From one side, vertical bands of
