Duravit joins European Water Label
With immediate effect, Duravit has joined the European Water Label. The voluntary classification scheme offers transparency in the water consumption of bathroom products across twelve sanitary product groups. It is particularly relevant for Duravit: the company’s WCs are in the green area of the EWL scale due to their low water consumption (< 3.5 litres). As an environmentally aware and ecologically
committed company, Duravit uses innovative technology to respond to the demand for water- saving products. The new ME by Starck rimless urinal uses only 0.5 litres for flushing while at the same time ensuring rapid and hygienic cleaning of the ceramic surface. Kaldewei recognised twice at Red Dot Awards
Kaldewei won over the jury of the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 with Meisterstück Emerso and Meisterstück Incava freestanding bathtubs with enamelled panelling. Produced in collaboration with designers Arik Levy and Anke Salomon, the award-winning baths were launched in March 2015 at the world-leading ISH trade fair. “The Red Dot is a globally recognised quality seal
for exceptional design,” says head of marketing Arndt Papenfuß. “We are very proud to have received this award for both of our new bathtubs
because excellent design has always been paramount for Kaldewei.” The special feature of the Emerso fully enamelled
bathtub is its slightly rising rim which seems to have no end, reminiscent of a twirled silk ribbon. These lines make it a veritable masterpiece both artistically and technically. Meisterstück Incava is defined by natural, flowing
