While Jennifer Heurlin-Brenne’s days as a competitor ended more than two decades ago and she has explored other career paths, she ulti- mately found total contentment in an ice rink. Best known as a pairs skater, Heurlin and partner John Frederiksen


were the 1989 U.S. junior pairs champions and two-time World Junior pairs bronze medalists. She spends much of her time coaching solo ice dance and she absolutely loves it. “At our club, the solo dance has really taken off,” Heurlin-Brenne


said. “It’s keeping so many kids on the ice, so many kids that would have definitely quit by now have found a lot of enjoyment in still being able to perform, compete and not have to worry about jumping.
