MICRO | NANO | MEMS 2015 SHOW PREVIEW
BRINGING MICRO MANUFACTURING under the microscope
Components in Electronics, Eurotec, electro optics, Laser Systems Europe, Nano Magazine and Machinery. Ultrasion is lined up to speak on the
commercialisation of high power ultrasounds and will be presenting its ground breaking developments in the latest micro moulding technology. According to Enric Sirera, Sales Director
at Ultrasion: “Traditional micro-injection moulding technologies have migrated from machines that were developed on the macro level. Ultrasion’s technology, however, is unique in the use of ultrasounds as the main source of energy to melt the plastic.” The process is simple. Only the shot size
Showcasing the latest products and services, Micro | Nano | MEMS 2015 exhibition is set to return to the NEC in Birmingham from the 30th September to the 1st October. The event covers the full spectrum of technologies from laser micromachining through to micro injection moulding, and from MEMS fabrication, through to assembly, inspection and test equipment. It offers visitors a one-stop-shop for small and ultra precision process technology
M
icro | Nano | MEMS 2015 is the UK’s number one showcase for micro,
precision, MEMS and nano manufacturing technologies and is the premier industry platform for the latest developments and expertise. Once again, this year’s exhibition is supported by a strong seminar programme that will challenge the latest processes and equipment, outlining how these can offer major advancements to your own working environment – a full programme will be available at the beginning of July. The programme explores some of the key markets benefiting from these new and innovative technologies as well as providing a platform to discuss the latest applications and developments in micro machining technologies. The free-to-attend exhibition will feature state-of-the-art live machine demonstrations and will host exhibitors covering the full spectrum of micro, precision, MEMS and nano manufacturing solutions. Visiting professionals will be able to discuss all their requirements with a wide variety of companies.
necessary for each shot is fed using standard pellets at room temperature. Melt occurs in milliseconds through the use of ultrasonics, which increases fluidity. Moulding can take place using low pressures while at the same time being highly replicable, and there is minimised waste as the parts are ejected. The company’s Sonorus 1G ultrasound
SENSORS & INSTRUMENTATION For the third year running the show will be co-locating with Sensors & Instrumentation; The Machine Building Show and TCT. In addition these shows will also be joining forces with Interplas and the PPMA show which had over 12,000 visitors when they were last held together. This international forum for micro
manufacturing is being organised by Datateam Business Media Ltd and is being supported by respected media publications including: Connecting Industry/Electronics, CMM,

moulding machine is designed to handle production of long, thin, and flat precision parts, and can induce extremely low viscosity in the melted plastic. 15mm long parts with 0.075mm thick walls are easily produced. In addition, as there are no heaters and no residence time, there is no material degradation. Also, the machine never needs purging, which can lead to substantial raw material savings, especially when using high-cost medical grade polymers. Micro│Nano│MEMS is also pleased to announce the recently formulated show partnership with leading industry organisations such as the NMI (National Microelectronics Institute) who are supporters of the show along with the NanoKTN and the Nanotechnology Industry Association (NIA). The event aims to deliver two types of
visitor, the first group are those who are educated in technologies and who are attending to make a purchase or keep up to date with the latest developments. The Second are those new to the technologies, the first tier visitors are the key to a growing attendance year on year.
