Mako camera family Allied Vision has released five new models of its Mako camera family. New CMOS and CCD sensors from Cmosis, e2v and Sony offer high sensitivity and up to 309fps at VGA resolution. The Mako G-030 targets industrial inspection applications with a high throughput. It features the CMV300 CMOS sensor from Cmosis. This global shutter imager with fast readout allows for a frame rate of up to 309fps at full VGA resolution. Thanks to its high dynamic range (HDR) mode and built-in defect pixel correction, the Mako G-030 delivers excellent image quality. Other new models include the Mako


G-050, featuring the Sony ICX693 CCD with 0.5 megapixels, and the Mako G-095, which is based on the Sony ICX692 CCD with 0.9 megapixels/720p HD resolution. In addition, two models with CMOS sensors have been added in the middle of the Mako range: Mako G-131 and Mako G-192 with 1.3 and 1.9 megapixels respectively. Both cameras feature Sapphire CMOS sensors from e2v with switchable shutter modes (rolling/global/ global reset). Both models offer a high frame rate with regards to their resolution (62fps and 60fps). Mako is Allied Vision’s small and


affordable entry-level camera series. With these additions, the Mako range now counts 11 models from VGA to 4 megapixels, with a large choice of CCD and CMOS sensors available in monochrome and colour version (some models with NIR- enhanced option) to cover most industrial inspection needs. www.alliedvisiontec.com

Blackfly CCD model Point Grey has added a 5.0 megapixel Sharp CCD model to its Blackfly family of GigE Vision cameras. The latest Blackfly BFLY-PGE-50H5 camera


models are based on the Sharp RJ32S4AA0DT (mono) and RJ32S3AA0DT (colour) sensors, a 2/3-inch global shutter CCD. This camera model is capable of streaming 2,448 x 2,048 resolution images at 7.5fps. The technology has been developed by Sharp to provide improved sensitivity and image quality compared with conventional CCDs. Its microlens design


collects light more efficiently resulting in improved quantum efficiency in the visible and near infrared regions. The Blackfly supports cable lengths of
