Ariel Wins Out On Final Day To Claim USA Basketball Men’s 3x3 National Championship Title, Takeover Goes Undefeated To Win Women’s Crown


Women's 3x3 National Championships as the men’s and women’s respective winners would also earn a trip to Russia to represent the United States at the FIBA 3x3 World Championship.


T Tipping off on May 10 at the


U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the 2014 USA Basketball Men's and Women's 3x3 National Championship featured 11 3x3 men’s teams and six 3x3 women’s teams vying for the opportunity to represent the USA at the 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Championship.


Following the two days of


3x3 action, Ariel for the men and Takeover for the women were crowned the 2014 USA Basketball National Champions, and as the winners both teams earned the right to represent the United States in Russia at the FIBA 3x3 World Championship.

included Thomas Darrow (Newport, Calif.), U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan (Arlington, Va.), Craig Moore (New York, N.Y.) and Jitim Young (Chicago, Ill.).


Takeover team members included


Cierra Burdick (Tennessee/Charlotte, N.C.), Sara Hammond (Louisville/Mt. Vernon, Ky.), Jewell Loyd (Notre Dame/ Lincolnwood, Ill.) and Tiffany Mitchell (South Carolina/Charlotte, N.C.).


Day one of the 2014 USA


Basketball Men's and Women's 3x3 National Championships featured preliminary play and only two men’s teams finished the day undefeated, while one women’s team also closed out day one without a loss.


Elite in men’s Group A compiled a
