PERFECT SCORE

Want to know how you could have scored 100%? We look at some options to create an ideal itinerary

Croatia

Croatia has enjoyed a surge in popularity in recent years as more Brits recognise the destination’s charm and beauty. Croatia has plenty to offer families and couples alike, with the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and stunning historic architecture throughout the country.

Island-hopping Croatia’s islands offer plentiful options for holidaymakers. Each has its own appeal. Vis, for example, is perfect for foodies and wine lovers, due to its array of vineyards. Solta is ideal for hiking and cycling, while Korcula’s medieval old town attracts the crowds. The latter can be reached by ferry from Split or Dubrovnik. If your client is looking for an island that is a little livelier, recommend Hvar for its great nightlife.

If your customer is a

first-timer to Croatia, recommend some of the key towns and cities on the mainland – as a starting point, Dubrovnik is an absolute must.

Go to the wall A trip to see the famed city walls comes highly recommended. The 13th-century walls are 24 metres high and provide some amazing photo opportunities. Just ensure that your client is prepared for the 1.2-mile walk ahead, which is steep in places. Other popular Croatian destinations include Split, a jewel on the Dalmatian coast; Zagreb, the country’s cosmopolitan capital and largest city; and Pula, renowned for its wealth of Roman ruins. The Dalmatian coast is

the biggest draw because it offers sun, sea and sand in bucket loads.
