Olympic Holidays has produced one of its largest-ever Summer Sun brochures, adding islands, hotels, villas and apartments. The operator’s second-edition Summer Sun brochure includes seven-night packages from £279 and is said to one of its most competitively priced to date. Commercial director Photis Lambrianides said: “Our prices for 2015 show very little change across the board, with the same value for money as 2014.”

Travel 2 has unveiled plans to grow its luxury short-haul programme and touring businesses. Managing director Andy Freeth said the Simply Luxury short-haul product had been a success since it was launched last spring but he was keen to enhance the offering. “We have employed another

product and purchasing manager as we look to grow this side of the business further,” he added. "It’s definitely something that

agents are interested in and we’re looking at different destinations in Europe to build this product up. “We’re pleased with how the first year has gone and now we

need to develop it further.” Freeth said he was also keen to pursue growth in escorted touring and Travel 2 will this year release a brochure specifically for this market for the first time. “We have 30 people in Glasgow

tailor-making tours,” said Freeth. “We are also looking at new destinations. “One thing we’ve noticed about

this product is that customers are not fussed about scheduled business-class flights; they’re happy to fly cheap and stay chic.” travel2.com
