MSC Armonia back in service after addition of 94 balcony cabins

MSC Cruises’ MSC Armonia has returned to service after being stretched in drydock as part of the line’s €200 million Renaissance Programme. The revamp has seen 94

balcony cabins added to the ship, as well as new dining options and dedicated children’s clubs. The ship also has a new outdoor

Spray Park area with interactive jets and slides, and the line’s new partnership with Lego is reflected in the new children’s areas. Chief executive Gianni Onorato said: “I’m very proud of what we and our partners at Fincantieri have achieved with MSC Armonia. “Not only is the ship smarter and more spacious, but we have given it a new lease of life that will appeal to experienced cruise travellers and first-timers.” Armonia will spend the winter season sailing seven-night cruises around the Canary Islands and Morocco. Prices lead in at £449. MSC has ambitious growth plans. In 2004 it carried 80,000 passengers a year, a figure it aims to increase to 3.4 million by 2022. msccruises.co.uk

wave campaign underlines our commitment to our trade partners. Cruise is a fiercely competitive business, especially in the peak period, so it is vital we have an offer that is compelling for consumers and recognises the effort agents make on our behalf. “By extending commission on the whole package price we are ensuring agents can make a decent return on a great-value

holiday. “Our sale is a win-win situation for agents and

their clients. We are also ensuring it is a very simple sale for agents by offering our biggest-ever range of fly-cruises so our product can be sold in one single transaction.” The wave offer applies to summer 2015 fly-cruises on six ships – MSC Magnifica, MSC Musica, MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia and MSC Armonia – all of which depart from either Venice or Genoa. Summer rates start from £549, a discount of £300 on brochure prices.

simultaneous events across the UK on December 16. The cinema nights are being held in Birmingham, Bolton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Chesterfield, Glasgow, Ilford, Newcastle, Southampton, Wakefield and Yeovil. Princess held a similar event earlier this year but this time the line is doubling the number of towns and cities visited and the number of agents it is aiming to reach.

During the last event of its kind,

Princess announced that Royal Princess would be returning to sail out of Southampton. Those attending the evenings will be given a product update from the line, be the first to hear news regarding plans for 2015 and will watch newly-released Christmas movie Get Santa. Agents who would like to attend

must register for the events by December 7. To register, visit: surveymonkey.com/s/ princesspresents
