Hoseasons revamps trade website to make it more agent-friendly

Hoseasons has revamped the trade section on its website to make it more user-friendly. Highlights include a new section
called All You Need to Know, with sales tips, training guides on how to use the site and a video tab. It also features an enhanced
offers section and the ability to book Cottages4you properties. Competitions and incentives are
featured more prominently on the agent landing page.
An updated Meet the Team
section features staff pictures. Tariq Khan, head of trade sales, said: “We’ve listened to what travel agents have told us and invested in what we think is a much-improved site. “Agents are vitally important to the success of our business, so we naturally want to give them the right tools for the job.” Hoseasons will launch a website
for all devices, including mobile, in the coming weeks.

Norwegian Cruise Lines’ next ship will feature two extra decks for new amenities. Norwegian Escape, due to launch in October 2015, will be based on Norwegian Breakaway but will include additional decks to house new, yet-to-be-announced facilities, said senior vice-president international Francis Riley. Norwegian Escape will be the company’s “biggest and best ship so far” said Riley, speaking at the launch of the new entertainment
programme for Norwegian Epic. The cruise line is targeting a wider demographic through added amenities on four new ships, to be introduced from 2015-19. Norwegian also plans to add a new ship to luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the brand it gained through its acquisition of Prestige Cruises International. Next year the line will add a second private resort, Harvest Caye, off the coast of Belize.

Wendy Wu launches Taiwan Uncovered tour Wendy Wu Tours has launched an 11-day Taiwan Uncovered tour next year, starting in the capital Taipei. Highlights include the Martyrs’ Shrine, the National Palace Museum, Sun Moon Lake, and Yangmingshan National Park. Tours depart in September and October. Prices start at £2,990.

Thompson opens first hotel in Miami Beach Thompson Hotels opened its first property in Florida last week. The 380-room Thompson Miami Beach has a spa and a fitness centre with ocean views. One night’s B&B leads in at £255 and includes admission to Perez Art Museum Miami and a beach bag.
