Tui Travel is headline partner for 10th responsible tourism conference


Tui Travel will be headline partner for the 10th Responsible Tourism in Destinations (RTD) conference, to be held in March 2015. The RTD10 conference will take place in Calvia, Majorca, with


speakers including Jane Ashton, Tui’s director of group sustainable development, sustainable tourism expert Dr Harold Goodwin, and Cristian Alfaro, head of Calvia’s tourism department. It is being organised by event management firm InterVenue,


and Travel Weekly is the official media partner. Ashton said: “We are delighted to be the headline partner of the


Responsible Tourism in Destinations conference. “We have previously been involved in the RTD conferences, which

Ryanair partners with Booking.com


Ryanair has a new partnership with Booking.com that allows customers to book accommodation on the airline’s website. The low-cost airline said the partnership is the latest in a series of improvements being made as part of its ‘Always Getting Better’ programme, which has resulted in a new website and app. Kenny Jacobs, chief marketing officer at Ryanair, said:


“Ryanair is pleased to partner with Booking.com, the world’s leading online booking accommodation provider, in the latest in a long line of Ryanair digital improvements.”


Two more Thomas Cook stores to get Oculus Rift Thomas Cook is to introduce its ‘try before you buy’ virtual reality technology in two more of its UK stores. In the week the travel giant reveals a further rise in profits, it has revealed two as-yet unnamed stores will receive the Oculus Rift headsets following a successful trial at its Bluewater store.
