Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples will be stepping aside after a lengthy tenure serving the

State of Texas as an elected offi cial to serve as presi- dent of the Texas Oil and Gas Association. “Serving the people of Texas in elected offi ce for more than 20 years has been an indescribable honor. These last few years of working with all Texans as your Commissioner of Agriculture on far ranging policy areas such as rural economic growth and urban water availability, job cre- ation, national security, home and landowner rights, and alongside the farmers and ranchers of Texas who provide the food and fi ber upon which we all rely has reinforced my confi dence in the future of our grand state. After Staples’ departure and before the new com- missioner takes offi ce, Texas Department of Agri- culture will be managed by Chief of Staff Shannon

Rusing and Deputy Commissioner Drew DeBerry. Jeff Moen is the new director of business devel- opment for the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation.

Moen has acted as the Noble Foundation’s corporate counsel and assistant general counsel for almost 8 years.
