Two New Account Handlers Following a period of strong growth, Staffordshire-based marketing, PR and business development agency, Brookes & Co has appointed two new account handlers, Sam Owen and Michele Wilson. Both will take charge of a number of accounts in the DIY, garden and housewares sectors. Sam and Michele have both worked with Brookes & Co in the past, before honing their skills with other Midlands agencies and through working in marketing manager roles in house. Brookes & Co specialises in working with companies and brands in the home
and garden industries including Vital Earth, Grange, Hamilton Acorn and Stewart Plastics. It provides a range of services, including market research, website design, build and management, PR, direct marketing, promotions, brand and identity development, NPD and sales support. Client services director, Michele Rastall said, “The company is going from strength to strength and I am delighted that we have been able to bring such highly skilled and experience operators as Sam and Michele back to the company.” Brookes & Co is based in Uttoxeter just off the A50 between Stoke and Derby and has associate offices in Birmingham.
Selco Reaches New Landmark In
Charity Push Staff and suppliers of a leading builders merchants got into the swing to raise £6,640 for Macmillan Cancer Support at a charity golf day. Staged the event at Essendon Country Club in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with a
total of 65 staff and suppliers playing in the event,Selco Builders Warehouse has already beaten its target of raising £150,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in three years. The target since 2012 has been to raise £50,000 each year. “It was a fantastic day, both for the golf and the evening dinner and auction we
had after the round had finished,” said Jamie Robinson, branch manager of Selco Tottenham. “We were delighted to raise such a significant amount and would like to thank
everybody who contributed on the day. “Macmillan Cancer Support is very close to all of us at Selco Builders
Warehouse and there is a real pride at the amount of money raised over the last couple of years.” Selco’s 35 branches each offer an extensive range of building materials,
