ESTATES & FACILITIES
As part of the latest MoU, five key areas for partnership working between CHP and NHS Property Services have been outlined and include Strategic Estate Planning; Scheme Developments; Communications; Finance; and Facilities Management.
Dr O’Connell and Holden said: “This programme will support real change in local estates and generate practical solutions that drive system-wide savings, service integration and new models of delivery.
“Both organisations are committed to continuing to work together to provide customers with a seamless service, facilitating strategic estate partnerships, delivering estate management services, and providing services to the NHS and wider health economy.”
It was added that while the companies
already have an extremely close working relationship, “it is right and appropriate to formalise that relationship through an MoU, as our companies have separate and distinct governance structures”.
Both companies stated that the MoU sets out shared objectives to help deliver better quality, better used and better value estates and services for the future.
Holden added: “NHS Property Services continues to support CHP in providing a range of facilities management services across some of CHP’s estate. This work comprises of: management of contracts, delivery of operational facilities management services and the management of premises.
“The facilities management schedule of the MoU is intended to assist both planning
and operational delivery, through ensuring respective teams are clear about expectations and obligations,” he added.
During the course of the next five years, the MoU will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
