Outline Plan for DSEI 2015 DSEI 2015:

Following the success of DSEI 2013, the plans for next year’s show are well underway. New enhancements to the event mean that DSEI 2015 will respond to the evolving needs of the defence and security industry, whilst continuing to provide visitors and exhibitors with the ideal place to do business.

n planning DSEI 2015 we are able to build on the most successful edition of this world leading show for defence and security applications of aerospace, land and maritime technologies and products.

However, the success of DSEI is based on our recognition that the event must constantly evolve to reflect changing needs in the global defence and security sectors. New threats to national security have to be countered, new capabilities are being developed and new markets are emerging. DSEI responds to these drivers.

High on our agenda for 2015 is enhancing DSEI as a sales platform for companies of all types and sizes. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are a vitally important source of innovation and it is DSEI’s mission to help them reach world markets. To bring exhibitors together with their potential customers we have introduced zones focused on specific areas, such as electronics, medical/humanitarian products and unmanned systems, as well as aerospace, land, maritime and security. Our research reveals that visitors

Building on success I

find this zoning approach an extremely valuable tool for making the most of their time spent at the show and 2015 will see further advances.

One of the main reasons for the record number of official delegations at DSEI 2013 was our ongoing programme of engagement with senior procurement and operational figures in mature and emerging markets around the world. The relationships we have established were strengthened by the very positive experience these VIPs had last year and we are continuing our outreach to ensure the maximum number of decision makers and influencers are aware of DSEI as a global hub for defence and security.

The growth in international attendees at DSEI reinforces the show’s dominant position as a networking forum. To accommodate our expanding visitor audience we are making further enhancements to our verification and access systems. This and future issues of Inside DSEI will keep you informed about our plans to make the show even more rewarding for exhibitors and visitors.
