DSEI 13 Research Summary
Exhibiting organisations prove international approach is key DSEI 2013
DSEI attracts companies large and small from across the world, and 2013’s show was no exception. A survey of the organisations who visited DSEI in 2013 illustrates just how multinational and expansive the range of exhibiting companies and their industry presence is.
The UK proved to be the country in which most DSEI visiting organisations have an industry presence, with 10,842 companies doing business in the United Kingdom. 6,875 surveyed organisations have a presence in Western Europe, with Asia/Pacific (5,083) and North America (5,275) also both illustrated as being important markets for companies who attended DSEI in 2013.
The growing defence market in the Middle East was highlighted by 4,573 positively responding organisations, whilst 3,627 companies who visited DSEI last year have defence and security interests in Eastern Europe. The African market was also well represented; 2,864 organisations responded that they have an industry presence in Africa, with a significant 2,694 companies also operating in South America.
It is evident that organisations are increasingly doing business in more than one market, with many having an industry presence in multiple countries
