Clip-Lok stacks up new products
Polymer breakthrough
Innovative packaging experts Clip-Lok SimPak have launched several new products for the defence industry. New additions include a reusable box for personalised, in-sequence packaging and transport of high ballistic body armour, a reusable transport box for retrograde rifles and a robust, protective crate for remote weapon systems (RWS) for fast packing and unpacking and can be reused many times.
Not
Less Lethal Africa manufactures rubber bullets fired out of regular service weapons - shotguns, rifles and pistols, and they are about to launch their polymer case for 9mm and 5.56mm. New bullet calibers, like .45 are in the pipeline as well as a revised 12ga shotshell cartridge case. The existing 12ga case is currently being amended to allow it to be more user-friendly on automatic loading machines. A big step
forward in the last six months has been the introduction of a new type of material which reduces the risk of penetration; the bullet collapses or mushrooms out on impact, thereby limiting injury. The new material is available in 9mm, 7.62mm and 5.56mm, and has the intention of hitting hard and adjusting attitudes but, ultimately, allowing everyone to walk away alive.
