EVENTS EPHJ-EPMT-SMT 2014

17-20 JUNE 2014, GENEVA, SWITZERLAND After a successful event in 2013, EPHJ-EPMT-SMT

International Trade Show, a leading trade fair in the field of high-precision watchmaking/jewellery, micro technology and medtech,

is busy preparing for the 2014 edition.

Founded in 2002, the EPHJ Show (Watchmaking-Jewellery Professional Environment) has become one of the most important trade fairs in Switzerland. Since its inception, EPHJ has never stopped growing.

This continuous success owes nothing to chance. It is the result of a very simple concept: to provide professionals of the watchmaking and jewellery industries with a platform for exchanges corresponding fully to their needs and their willingness to develop their business. For four days, the organisers ensure that the linking of exhibitors and potential customers is done in optimal conditions.

The atmosphere is friendly and professional, which is why all participants regularly express their satisfaction and loyalty; a loyalty that is based primarily on the ability of EPHJ to generate business relationships and the signature of new contracts. Since 2007, the EPHJ Show also includes the EPMT Show (MicroTechnology Professional Environment). A platform for meetings around the micro and nanotechnology, this event is a great ground for the adaptation of new materials and manufacturing techniques in watchmaking, jewellery and a plethora of other industries.

The alliance between those two sectors makes EPHJ-EPMT a unique event of its kind, conducive to the development of synergies and technology transfer.

Since 2011 the SMT Show (Swiss Medical Technologies) has been running in parallel with EPHJ and EPMT. Real showcase of the medical technology industry, the SMT sector wants to gather all the exhibitors specialised in the medical device industry and be the meeting place of all the actors in the chain, from R&D to subcontracting.

By settling in 2012 in Geneva, EPHJ-EPMT-SMT marked a new stage in its development and its reputation by offering better reception and access conditions while opening more widely to a new clientele of international visitors.

The 2013 exhibition saw a 14% increase in the number of exhibitors, to 755. At the same time, admissions grew by 26% to 18,259. The survey conducted by the organisers after the event finished showed that the visitors represented business from over 40 countries. 15% of the respondents confirmed concluding business deals during the show and a further 79% were positive that deals would follow after the show closed its doors. That means a massive 94% of respondents had already done business on the back of the show, or were expecting to do so. What is more, 87% of the surveyed participants said they would be attending the show again in 2014.

The event will take place at the Geneva Palexpo, located within walking distance of the Geneva airport, from 17 to 20 June 2014.
