unique thermistor sensing technology into the compact MiniBlue casing. “Since launching the MiniBlue R during the ACR show we have seen a huge increase in the level of interest surrounding it. We found the show to be a great success for us and the perfect opportunity to meet with our established customers as well as launch our new range of IsoPlenums.

“We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of all the enquires throughout the whole show and despite the bad weather people just kept on coming through the main entrance – we even had our Dutch and South African distributors attend. For BlueDiamond it has been a ‘no brainer’ we’ve already signed up for the 2016 event.”

Leak detection and new refrigerants were among the headline products for A-Gas at the show. With F-Gas regulations placing an ongoing emphasis on leak reduction, A-Gas has introduced a leak detection product known as Trace-A-Gas. Up to 100 times more sensitive than a leak detection spray, it will enable engineers to locate even the smallest leaks. Honeywell was promoting Solstice, its range of refrigerants geared towards safe, lower GWP solutions that maintain energy efficiency.

In partnership with A-Gas, the company was also showcasing its Genetron Performax LT, (R407F), as an environmentally friendly replacement for other gases such as R404A and R407A. For contractors, it requires no significant difference in the handling, and no major changes in existing systems.

Lordan received a lot of interest in its coil products. Managing director Stuart Lancaster clarified: “Particularly the 7mm tubed coils being manufactured in the UK and our special self-cleaning nano coat which prevents dirt build up on the fins and ensures that the output efficiency of the coil is maintained for much longer, years in some cases.

“Additional benefits of the nano coating are that it has passed a 3,000 hour salt spray test and reduces defrost times by approximately 30%.

“The 7mm tubed coils were of particular interest to companies looking for increased output at a lower cost. Some companies used the efficient design to reduce the overall size of their coil while maintaining output and others wished to

reduce their total system charge volume. “As the narrower diameter tube can

take much higher pressures, CO2 system manufactures were at times queuing at our stand to discuss technical details. “The show was such a success for Lordan that we have already booked our stand for the 2016 Show.”

Hydratech, a leading manufacturer of specialist heat transfer fluids for the acr, geothermal and renewable energy sectors enjoyed a very productive show. The company’s new stand and marketing material made its debut at the event – generating considerable interest from industry leaders and individual installers alike, right from day one. Steve Hickson, managing director of Hydratech – Specialist Fluid Solutions, said: “It was a very positive show that created the right environment to learn and share the latest developments within the industry. We were able to promote the performance and cost saving benefits of Hydratech’s range of heat transfer fluids, to a quality, highly relevant audience.”

Mexichem Fluor found that the main point of interest on its stand was the company’s Guide to the Proposed Amendment to the F-Gas Regulations. It is intended as an aid in understanding the key facts about the proposed revision of the F-Gas regulations, and the company said that it found vistors to the show eager to gain information on the subject directly from experts.

Carel was exhibiting a range of energy efficient air conditioning and refrigeration control solutions, and humidification products aimed at significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint. Of particular note was the compact humiSonic humidifier which will produce 0.5kg/h or 1kg/h humidity with a power input as low as 50W, and a 90% reduction in energy consumption compared to traditional steam humidifiers.

As a leading company in HVAC genuine parts, Johnson Controls has the expertise to recommend and offer the necessary spare parts needed for the installed equipment at the customer’s site.
