DRIVES & CONTROLS PRODUCTS RiDiag II software for TopTherm Blue e cooling units
Rittal’s TopTherm Blue e cooling units provide an energy efficient means of cooling enclosures. Incorporating the integrated eComfort controller and offering savings of up to 45%, the units are compatible with Rittal’s RiDiag II software. RiDiag II is a set-up, diagnostic and data
acquisition tool that can be used to view and adjust settings, log equipment data and track performance in real time. All cooling parameters, such as the enclosure internal temperature set- point, switching hysteresis, high temperature alarm offset and sensitivity of the filter mat monitoring, can be modified and saved. The results of diagnostic checks may also be stored. With connection to a PC or laptop the following
data can be retrieved from the cooling unit - time and frequency of any error messages generated,
maximum environmental and minimum internal enclosure temperatures recorded, and the duty cycle and cooling unit utilisation. Whether an end user or installer, RiDiag II can
be of benefit. It significantly reduces the amount of time taken to set-up multiple units with the same parameters, ensures the correct settings are input and creates a back-up file of the application specific settings. Saved diagnostic checks document the operating history of a cooling unit, and data collected from a cooling unit may be used to identify any faults or incorrect installation. At Drives & Controls Centa Transmissions (stand D18) is demonstrating the range of standard gears, gearboxes, flexible couplings and driveshafts for a multitude of motion control and precision positioning drive applications. Partnering with gear manufacturers, Centa designs and builds drive solutions that may integrate small precision face gears by ASS-AG, planetary gears from Sumer and high precision robotic drives and Cyclo speed reducers by Sumitomo. All customer application requirements are carefully evaluated, considering torque, inertia, speed, ratio, operational duty times, shock and peak loading conditions, dimensional limitations and any backlash constraints. Also on the stand will be Centa’s range of Electromagnetic Clutches, which
are compatible with all types of PTO drive. Originally available in 7 sizes from 250 to 10,600, the EMC now has an extended range of PTOs, which are engineered to suit individual customer requirements. The new EMC has been created to solve specific problems in response to market demands and fulfils a long standing need for versatile and watertight remote operated industrial clutches. Work has also now been completed on an extension to the Centa factory
in Shipley, which has enabled the company to restructure production and warehousing facilities for greater output and efficiency.
