WIN A PLACE ON A FOOD AND WINE-FLAVOURED FAM TO SOUTH AFRICA!
in association with
South African Tourism (SAT) is to showcase the country’s incredible food and wine on a fam trip of a lifetime. And you could be one of nine lucky agents who will be given the
opportunity to experience South Africa’s cuisine and check out some of its 18 wine routes before putting your own culinary skills to the test. SAT’s SATurday Kitchen competition is open to frontline travel
sellers, whether agents or operator reservations staff who are working on the high street, online, in call centres or from home. South African Tourism has teamed up with South African Airways
and Sun International to host the educational trip, which takes place between May 14 and 23. The nine lucky participants will experience cuisine created by
celebrity chef Benny Masekwameng on board a South African Airways flight to Cape Town, before staying at Sun International’s The Table Bay Hotel and checking out its new Camissa Brasserie restaurant. They will then split into three groups and head to three spectacular locations.
Group one will head to Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek,
home to the award-winning Tasting Room with menu designed by executive chef Margot Janse. Group two will head to Gondwana Game Reserve in
Mossel Bay, an incredible private reserve serving cuisine under the guidance of Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver-trained head chef JC. Group three will head to Hog Hollow in Plettenberg Bay, a
beautiful lodge on the edge of an indigenous forest where they will be hosted by inspirational head chef Big Joe. After experiencing the wonderful local produce
and culinary expertise on offer in these fantastic resorts, the three teams will meet up at Sun International’s incredible Sun City Resort. Here they’ll get to take part in a final
SATurday Kitchen cook-off to discover the winning trio of budding chefs!
