Seabourn warns sale of three ships will limit capacity Hollie-Rae Merrick

Seabourn is urging agents to push early booking as its capacity drops next year with the sale of its three original ships and it awaits a new addition to the fleet. The line said by April 2015 it

would have sold the 208-berth Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend to Windstar Cruises.

Seabourn will still operate three 450-berth ships in its new Odyssey class, but total capacity from next April will be reduced until a new ship comes into service in 2016. Lynn Narraway, UK managing

director, and John Delaney, senior marketing and sales vice-president, urged agents to encourage customers to book early to avoid disappointment in the next few seasons. Delaney said: “It’s a very

exciting time for Seabourn. “We are sentimental to see our

agents to package cruises with another holiday element. “There is always the opportunity

for agents who have Atol to package the cruise up with another element,” said Narraway. “It’s all about differentiating, just as Seabourn has to differenti- ate itself from other brands.” Delaney said one of Seabourn’s

strategies this year would be to target luxury travellers who were keen to see several destinations. seabourn.co.uk
