l More regional meetings with less distance to travel – this is a difficult one for the CIPP to achieve as members are based all over the UK and venue costs need to justify the attendance at events. Therefore, if there is an event which you would like to attend but it is not running at a location convenient to you, please email events@cipp.org.uk and we will attempt to cover this area should there be sufficient interest. We also offer in-house delivery for training and qualifications, so we could always come to your offices if there is sufficient space there. l Support and advice for employment related issues – part of the CIPP’s strategy for 2014 and beyond is to work with strategic partners that will provide additional value to our members; particularly relating to employment law and human resources. Currently, the CIPP has an agreement with BusinessHR which offers CIPP members, and the organisations that they work for, a 15% discount off their CompliantCare service, as well as two weeks trial access to their website and

advisory service. You can find out more within ‘My CIPP’ when you login to the members’ area of cipp.org.uk. In addition to the existing relationship with BusinessHR the CIPP also works with a variety of other partners and will be continuing to cultivate these during 2014 to offer members flexibility and choice. Our current partners also include Peninsula and Moorepay who provide content for PayrollProfessional. l Salary benchmarking – working with Portfolio Payroll, the CIPP is running a salary benchmarking survey in the early part of 2014 to establish the industry salary levels. Make sure that you receive News On Line to take part in this survey. Portfolio Payroll is the CIPP’s preferred recruitment agency and more details can be found online at cipp.org.uk l Improved website – during 2014 the plans for the CIPP website improvements include: m integrating the CIPP’s specialist interest groups (SIGs) into the main CIPP website which will streamline accessing of SIGs for members and will also lead to some improvements in the functionality of the online groups and discussion forums

m making the site responsive for mobile devices.

l Vacancies advertised and posted on the CIPP website – we are currently reviewing options for the site which will allow vacancies to be posted on the CIPP website and will announce details when available. In the meantime, vacancies are advertised to CIPP members via email which can be targeted by location, current job title/responsibilities and qualification level. Email advertising@cipp.org.uk for more information on this service. l Chartered status for individuals – this is part of the CIPP’s long-term strategy. One of the criteria for Chartered members will be evidence of CPD; this is mandatory within the existing Charter for Full and Fellow members which will assist with the achievement of Chartered membership when the time comes. l Consultancy – a number of members have asked the CIPP to provide consultancy services and we are pleased to be able to offer this service. Our consultancy service includes: m data/work flow analysis
