INDUSTRY NEWS O’Fallon Receives Hiring Award From Governor

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon established the “Show-Me Heroes” program in January 2010 to con- nect military veterans with job opportunities as they return home from service. He awarded O’Fallon Casting, O’Fallon, Mo., which has hired veterans through the program, with a “Flag of Freedom” award for its support. “We acknowledge the sacrifices

made by members of our Armed Forces to preserve our national security and recognize that return- ing veterans possess the training, education, motivation and character vital to Missouri’s economic success,” said Joe Kaufman, human resource manager, O’Fallon Casting. Local veterans employment

representative Jerry Studstill presented the award, which reads: “On behalf of Governor Jay Nixon and the Missouri Department of Labor/Department of Workforce Development, O’Fallon Cast- ing is awarded the Show-Me Heroes ‘Flag of Freedom’ award, which consists of a plaque featur- ing an American flag patch from the combat uniform of a member of the Missouri National Guard worn while that Citizen-Soldier or Airman was deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan. Tis is Missouri’s way of thanking O’Fallon Casting for hiring returning veterans.”
