WHY SHOULD I STOCK THIS? Following the critically acclaimed fi rst fi lm, hopes were high for its follow-up. Sadly, our expectations weren’t met and Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out to mixed reviews. Criticism was centered upon the unfocused narrative and overcrowded story – clearly Sony Pictures learnt nothing from Spider-Man 3. In spite of this the fi lm made a whopping $709m (£426m) at the Global Box Offi ce, coming close to quadrupling its $200m budget. And despite the mixed critical
reception, consumer scores were much more favourable.
