since January 2013, will be leaving the company at the end of September. This follows the announcement of Future’s new executive management team. The content and marketing management team report to content and marketing director NIAL FERGUSON. “I am delighted to be able to announce these appointments as we continue the process of restructuring Future around content that connects with consumers and commercial partners,” said Ferguson said. “We are coming to the end
of our transformation process and the focus is now all about putting the exciting plans in place. Nick, Declan and
Matthew and their exceptionally talented teams will be able to achieve everything that is asked of them.”
UKIE | MO ALI has joined UK video game trade body in the position of IP co-ordinator. He
joins UKIE from international music trade body IFPI. In his role, Ali will be working
with the organisation’s members on issues pertaining to IP. “I am looking forward to working with UKIE developer and publisher members to identify ways to make the most of their IP at a time when global marketplaces and different platforms are becoming
increasingly important in a digital world,” said Ali.
MISCHIEF PR | Consumer tech PR BAZ SINGH has joined Mischief. He is working in the
role of senior account manager. Previously he worked for five
years at Edelman, working with a number of firms including Xbox UK. “I am thrilled to have joined Mischief, and to be working with some of the most innovative entertainment and technology brands out there – including Disney UK and the highly anticipated Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes,” Singh said.

SUCKER PUNCH | There have been lay offs at the Sony- owned Washington-based developer. It hasn’t been confirmed
yet how many people are to be laid of, but in a statement Sony gave to IGN there were to be cuts to those worked on the Infamous and Sly Cooper series – suggesting that those leaving would be long-serving members of staff.
SCEJ | The CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is to retire on August 31st. ATSUSHI MORITA will be taking up the role of president and CEO. Kawano joined Sony in 1985 as an account manager in the domestic marketing vidision, and has since worked as GM of SCE and vice senior president of consumer sales.

TRENDY ENTERTAINMENT | ROBERT MOORE has joined the indie studio. The former EA CTO
and VP has joined Trendy Entertainment as its chief technology officer. “Rob Moore’s long career includes a list of some of the most influential titles of the last fifteen years,” said CEO Darrell Rodriguez.
“His extensive experience launching both software and hardware will be essential for us as we near the release of Dungeon Defenders II and further develop our existing and upcoming product portfolio. And as a fellow former EA employee, I’m personally overjoyed to be playing on the same team as him once more.”
