The University Archives, housed in Halle Library, is open to researchers who want a deeper sense of the University’s history. Photographs, floor plans and blue prints, scrapbooks and publications like The Normal College News—seen here in the hands of Alexis Braun Marks, the University Archivist— fill the archive. Library Associate John Clark (left) is well versed in the vast collection, including the papers, publications and research material of Nathan Harvey, professor and head of the Department of Pedagogy at Michigan State Normal College who retired in 1925. Visitors must sign in and be willing to follow protocols to help preserve the varied documents.
