Ma loney is married and the mother of two. Son Wade, 15, is a freshman at the Lawrenceville School. While he loves boarding school, Ali is heartbroken that Wade is away from home. Daughter Tess is in the seventh grade. Ali, who holds a master’s from Columbia University, is president and owner of a financial recruit- ing company called Parent & Associates, serving the metro NYC area. Greg Smith’s second novel, A Noble Cause, was awarded first place in the fic- tion category in this year’s Delaware Press Association communications competition and was a Kindle best-seller in the US, UK, and Germany. Greg has a new novel coming out October 1 titled Send in the Clowns; it’s the third book in his Detective Chang series. Greg continues to write full- time and enjoy life in Delaware with his wife, son, and dog. We extend heartfelt condolences to the families of Hilary Bryant and Marshall Brown, both of whom died in 2012. They will be greatly missed by the many whose lives they touched. With his hamstrings (mostly) recovered, Ross is a freelance creative director at a couple of Chicago-based mar- keting agencies and brands. When he’s not making the world safe for corn dogs and water enhancers, he’s writing and recording his second album of power pop gems, which he hopes to release by the end of 2013. Lynn Faherty Zimmerman works with

her younger twin brothers on a new, eco- friendly line of swim- and beachwear called Faherty Brand. Each swimsuit is created from an average of seven recycled plastic bottles. Kara Vassel Lewis, husband Turk, and children Burnham, 13, and Macy, 11, re - cently moved to Palm Beach, FL. Turk is the new assistant head of school for ad - vancement at the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, which both kids now attend. Kara, who had been teaching at her alma mater, Friends Academy, in Locust Valley, NY, for the last 10 years, was sad to leave that job, where she was leader of curriculum growth. “Moves and change breed opportunity,” she reflects. She is using her newfound free time to work on her golf game, practice yoga, and enjoy the beach. She spent the winter studying for the GRE and taking classes in preparation for starting a doctoral pro- gram in curriculum and instruction this fall. Lynn Donahue moved to a new home


with her husband and two kids, ages 6 and 9, and is enjoying redecorating and gardening. As director of the new Center for Service-Learning and Experiential Learning Support at St. John Fisher Col - lege in Rochester, NY, she helps students to solve community issues within the context of academic coursework. My former Kimball suitemate Ann- Marie Long Skinner enjoys living in Atlanta, GA, with her husband, Ken, and three dachshunds. Keith Michel got engaged in January


to Melinda Greenberg and is planning a spring 2014 wedding. Keith lives in Balti - more, MD, where he is a marketing man- ager for Walden University. He can’t be - lieve that son Connor is turning 20 this year and daughter Grace will be going to high school next year. Keith keeps in touch with Skidmore friends including Ben Kauffman, Ken Fermaglich, and Todd Pantezzi ’89. He looks forward to our 25th reunion next spring. Coming soon to a theater near you: A.C.O.D. (Adult Children of Divorce), written and directed by Stu Zicherman, will be released October 11.
