Susan’s son Aaron is a sopho- more at Harvard, and her husband teach- es math courses at the Borough of Man - hattan Community College. Joan Westcott Gile spent Commence - ment weekend at Skidmore for the gradu- ation of her youngest, Molly ’13, who captained both the field hockey and women’s basketball teams. Joan says she probably spent more weekends in Sara - toga over the last four years than she did when she was a student there. “It was an incredible four years for Molly and a per- fect fit. There have been a lot of changes since we were there, but creativity, toler- ance, acceptance, and academic excel- lence continue to be the underlying themes. Every time we visited, there were examples of why it is one of the best lib- eral arts colleges in the country. I am more proud than ever to be an alumna, a title I can now share with my daughter.” Mollie Myers ’13, daughter of Grace Houghton, is at Harvard for graduate study.

Susan Sinberg Landesman is teaching special-needs children,

in May. Husband Mike still flies for South - west Airlines, son Michael is a captain in the US Army, daughter Mollie is an oncol- ogy and hematology nurse at Johns Hop - kins, daughter Hellie is a senior at Notre Dame, and daughter Emma is a freshman at Marquette. Helen will continue on her local school board until her third term expires at the end of 2014, but she does not plan to run again. She keeps in touch with Roxie Boghosian DeBlois and Jean Bickley ’83. The three of them had a blast at our class reunion in 2012 and hope to get together again soon for a mini-reunion. Helen is also in contact with Judy Katz Esbit and saw her recent- ly for a nice but short visit when Judy was in Scottsdale, AZ, on business. Lisa Tesar Capretta cherishes every day among the beautiful and historic red- woods in Mill Valley, CA. She and hus- band Ric love to go hiking and mountain biking. They traveled back east almost every weekend last year to watch son Alex play Division I lacrosse for Princeton. Alex graduated and now lives in NYC near Union Square. He works for the Credit Suisse media and technology department. “That’s one off the payroll,” Lisa quips. They will continue to visit the East Coast to see daughter Sofia, a junior at Lehigh. A business major and school leader, she “couldn’t be a happier student at this fine university.” Their youngest, Bianca, is a high-school junior and takes after her mother, playing tennis for her school team. She loves to sing, play piano, and sail in addition to managing her school and volunteer work. Ric is busy with his development company, coaching JV basketball at the local high school, and serving as a town planning commissioner. He completed the Century Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe last summer. Lisa is always busy as the family’s profes- sional domestic engineer and also does a variety of volunteer jobs in their commu- nity. She still plays a little tennis and loves getting to play with Susan Shum - way ’83 at their local club. Joel Bresler just published Sunderwynde Revisited. He says, “It’s set in Cleveland, which is a little like cheating for a humor- ous novel—fortunately, I’m not proud.” He had a great time at last year’s reunion and is back in touch with a few people he was particularly close to at Skidmore. He can hardly wait for the next one. Carrie Price Seligman is the proud mom of Spencer, a freshman at Pratt In stitute in Brooklyn, NY, majoring in communica- tions design. In celebration, the family took their first-ever South African safari in

July. Carrie is a senior wealth strategist at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where she has been for eight years.

Graduations gave me the opportunity to see several classmates in June. Peggy Frew-Nehms’s son Ben graduated from Coyle Cassidy High School, a wonderful excuse for a party (though I see Peg and her family several times a year). Margie and Chuck Kaufman’s son Craig graduat- ed from Newton South High School, and the guests at his party included Eric Bloom, Lynda Werrick Shea, and Ken Zeitler with his wife, Marcie. We talked of having a mini-reunion in Boston, and just a week later I ran into Lynda’s former roommate Daria McLean ’83 on New - bury Street. She also is interested in get- ting a group together in Boston. Consider joining the Skidmore Class of

1982 Facebook group, where currently 120 friends share photos and news. Earl Zeligman is particularly prolific! He and others posted news of returning to Sara - toga to crash Reunion ’13 in June. Earl, Bitsi Bozer Augustus, Victoria Storke, Peter Hill, and Seth Bershadsky ’80 were among the revelers, and they encourage all of us to adopt the practice of returning to every Skidmore reunion, not just our own! Jennifer Aborn Hart joined the fes- tivities on Saturday. Jim Rossi was there as well, entertaining the crowd with his saxophone. Earl also posted photos and messages extolling the virtues of our for- mer mascot, the wombat. Eric Bloom also shares plentiful Facebook contributions, nostalgic tidbits from our days on campus and around town, and great pictures.
